    SANTANA STRINGS ran 4th in the Jacques Cartier S. at Woodbine missing 2nd by a head and a neck. He came flying from last in the stretch and just ran out of running room. They zipped the 6 furlongs in 1:08.63 on the All Weather track with fractions of 21.95, 43.79 and 55.85.

    LITTLEEXPECTATIONS had a nice MSW winner at The Fair Grounds as Little Tipsy (out of Wild Tip by Southern Halo) sprinted 5.5 furlongs to score in her third start. She hit the wire 3 1/2 lengths ahead of her next rival. Little Tipsy has been on the board in each of her three starts. She is owned by Bill Morrison and was bred by Dr Rebecca Bynum. Lifetime: 1-1-1 $36,000

    Hip 238, a filly by EVEN THE SCORE out of CHASE YOU, fetches $180,000 at the OBS 2008 March Sale of Selected Two-Year-Olds in Training. She was consigned by Excel Bloodstock and was purchased by Steve Klesaris for Puglisi Stables. The filly had a strong, athletic breeze in 10.1.

    Millennium Farms’ Student Council will return to the track in 2008, with potential early season targets including the $500,000 Donn Handicap (GI) at Gulfstream Park on February 2, the $1 million Santa Anita Handicap (GI) on March 2 and the $6 million Dubai World Cup (G1) on March 29. The winner of the $500,000 Hawthorne Gold Cup (GII) and the $1 million Pacific Classic (GI) most recently traveled to Tokyo for the Japan Cup Dirt, where he finished eighth in a field of 16.
