MILLENNIUM FARMS ANNOUNCES 2011 STUD FEES

LEXINGTON, KY - December, 2010

Millennium Farms announced 2011 stud fees for its stallions.  Closing Argument, a leading freshman and sophomore sire, joins the roster at Millennium Farms at a fee of $5,000.
“We have added Closing Argument at a fair price and lowered stud fees for the rest of our roster to reflect the challenges in the current marketplace,” said Millennium Farms owner Ro Parra.  “As breeders ourselves, we understand the difficult economic conditions facing the horse industry, and we look forward to working with breeders during the 2011 breeding season.”

Terms for all Millennium Farms stallions are live foal, stand and nurse.

Even the Score(Unbridled’s Song-Ashtabula, by Rahy):  $10,000.  Only son of Unbridled’s Song to sire a multiple grade 1 winner(Take the Points).  A leading first, second and third crop sire, including 72% winners, ranked in Top 5 by win percentage.
Student Council(Kingmambo-Class Kris, by Kris S.):  $7,500. Multiple grade 1 winner on dirt and synthetic, including Pacific Classic(G1), Pimlico Special(G1) and Hawthorne Gold Cup(G2).  Bred 183 mares in first two years at stud.
Zanjero(Cherokee Run-Checkered Flag, by A.P. Indy):  $7,500.  Top earning son of Cherokee Run, over $1.6 million, graded stakes performer at 2, 3 and 4.  Won Kentucky Cup Classic(G2), Indiana Derby(G2) and West Virginia Derby(G3).
Closing Argument(Successful Appeal-Mrs. Greeley, by Mr. Greeley):  $5,000.  Top 10 first and second crop sire, more wins than Afleet Alex, Kitten's Joy, Ghostzapper and Offlee Wild.  Sire of 60% winners, has 102 two-year-olds this year and 86 next year.
Will He Shine(Silver Deputy-Christmas Star, by Star de Naskra):  $2,500.  Bred on the same cross as Posse, and a half-brother to grade 1 winner Cuvee.  Grade 2 stakes winner at Belmont, ran triple digit Beyers at three tracks.

ELM GROVE, LOUISIANA - NOVEMBER 30, 2010   Millennium Farms at Moon Lake in Louisiana has announced stud fees for the 2011 breeding season.  Owned by John Turner and the estate of the late John Franks, Millennium Farms at Moon Lake is affiliated with Ro Parra’s Millennium Farms Kentucky.   The alliance, now in its second year, includes stallion partnerships involving both farms, plus nearly 30 mares eligible for the Louisiana breeding program.
“We have a strong roster of both young and proven stallions to serve the Southwest Region and take full advantage of the lucrative Louisiana program,” said Millennium Farms at Moon Lake General Manager Jim Ward, D.V.M.  “We are pleased to add A.P. Indy’s son Shaniko to our roster, as he is already the leading freshman sire in Louisiana by wins and earnings and is sure to be well-received by breeders in this region.”

Chatain(Forest Wildcat-Roujoleur, by Red Ransom):  $2,500.  Record-setting multiple graded stakes winning miler, won the Hal’s Hope Handicap(G3) twice at Gulfstream.
Scrimshaw(Gulch-Rogue Girl, by Sham):  $2,500.  The leading third-crop sire in the country with 73.33% winners from runners (among top 50 third-crop sires by earnings).
Shaniko(A.P. Indy-Sapphire n' Silk, by Pleasant Tap):  $2,500.  Leading Louisiana first crop sire by wins and earnings, and from the same female family as Shared Account, winner of the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf(G1).
Woke Up Dreamin(Holy Bull-Dreamlike, by Storm Cat):  $2,500. A leading Louisiana second crop sire, out of a Storm Cat daughter of champion Flawlessly.
Littleexpectations(Valid Appeal-Mepache, by Iron Constitution):  $2,000.  A full brother to top regional sire Valid Expectations.  Sire of multiple graded stakes winner King of the Roxy and Louisiana champion filly Seven Seventythree, and 15% two-year-old stakes horses.
A.P. Delta(A.P. Indy-Lyphard’s Delta, by Lyphard):  $1,500.  Sire of 24% two-year-old stakes horses.  Three-quarter brother to Group 1 winner Biondetti. 
Lone Star Special(Malabar Gold-Sunshine Special, by Tactical Advantage):  $1,000.  Versatile Southwest  stakes winner from the family of champion mare Just A Game II.
